Vienna, Austria

My last minute decision to go for The Austrian capital ended up to be a very memorable and experiential trip. Having my ticket booked just 3 hours before my departure, this was by far the craziest trip I’ve done to date. By midnight, I was still contemplating among three choices; Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest. Since I had to consider the proximity to Prague, I chose Vienna.

It was exactly 4 am when I started traversing the empty streets of old town prague on my way to Florenc Bus Station. I felt a strong sense of Freedom and an explainable feeling of excitement. I recognized the scene from one of my daydreams of backpacking in Europe. Nostalgia.

I spent most of my time in the bus sleeping. Upon arrival in Vienna, I immediately went to find the nearest Metro station and headed towards the city center where most of the top attractions are located.

Vienna’s beautiful architecture can be overwhelming. Buildings and cathedrals are massive and even made more impressive with their intricate designs. One will also notice the wide streets shared by cars, trams and horses.

Vienna is one of the most elegant cities, in my opinion. I wish I had more than a day to experience Vienna. Below are some photos I took during my solo walking tour around the city.
